Join a tour or rent on your own. Whichever you choose, you are sure to have an amazing day zooming through the Camp Hale area. The 10th Mountain Division ski troops trained here during World War II, and with good reason. The trail up to the Continental Divide would be a grueling trip on foot, but it is a cinch on a snowmobile. You won’t believe your eyes when you get to the top of the mountain!

About Snowshoeing

The Inn at Riverwalk is located on the Eagle Valley Trail, which offers virtually endless miles of paved paths. You can ride as far as Glenwood Springs to the west or Breckenridge to the east.

Explore world-class hiking trails in the Vail Valley, surrounded by the White River National Forest and Holy Cross Wilderness Area. Some of our favorite trails are Beaver Lake Trail, Village to Village, Hanging Lake, Missouri Lakes and Booth Falls. While trails are most often hiked in warmer months, we offer snowshoes for those brave enough to traverse them during the winter.

Printable maps are available on the National Forest Service site.

Some of Colorado’s best trout fishing is available just steps from our backyard. Purchase a Colorado State Day Fishing License for $9 at Vail Valley Anglers in the Riverwalk and drop your line in the Eagle River.

Tours are available for those who prefer to get tips from seasoned professionals. Vail Valley Anglers will show you the best techniques and fishing spots on ½ day or full day float or wade tours.

You won’t believe the views and high-quality play our local courses have to offer.

Eagle Vail

Horseback riding
